Romania has serviced effects-heavy global films since the 1990s, from 'Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance' to Tim Burton's 'Wednesday', alongside major studio infrastructure at MediaPro Studios in Buftea and Castel Film Studios.

The Romanian Film Centre (CNC), the CNC, gives a cash rebates of up to 45 per cent on eligible Romanian spend, and CGI and 3D work carried out locally count toward qualifying expenditure.
